Brand & Reputation Management, in short

OlDevs runs brand and reputation management for organisations that need the public record about them to be accurate. The work covers reviews on the surfaces buyers actually read, the first page of results for your organisation's name, outdated or wrong information published about you anywhere on the web, employer reputation on hiring sites, monitoring that a person triages rather than a raw feed, and an agreed escalation route into crisis communications. We are a Vancouver studio working since 2014 with corporations, associations, government bodies, franchises and entrepreneurs across Canada and the United States, in English and French. Legitimate reputation work means fixing the underlying problem and publishing better information. We do not write, buy, incentivise or gate reviews, and we do not offer to remove criticism that is true.

21 · Brand & Reputation Management

What people find under your name, and who answers it.

Six areas of work. Most engagements begin with two or three and add the rest once the basics hold.

01

Review generation and response

We build a repeatable way to ask customers for reviews, then draft and publish responses to every review in scope, positive or negative, inside an agreed tone and approval route. No incentives, no gating.

Google · Yelp · Facebook · App stores · Response drafting · Approval routes

02

Brand SERP management

Most of the first page for your organisation's name is made of assets somebody owns. We audit what ranks there now, improve the pages and profiles you control, and publish what is missing. What ranks stays the engine's decision.

Brand search audit · Owned pages · Profiles · Knowledge panel · Structured data

03

Correcting the record

Old addresses, retired staff, merged entities and wrong claims sit across directories, data aggregators and archives. We find them, catalogue them, and work each correction through with whoever published it. Some sources agree, some refuse.

Directories · Aggregators · Corrections log · Source outreach · Structured data

04

Employer reputation

What candidates read before they apply. We monitor employer review sites, help HR build a response practice, and align careers pages, job posts and profiles with what the organisation is actually like.

Glassdoor · Indeed · Careers pages · HR response practice · Candidate research

05

Monitoring and listening

Named alerts across search, review surfaces, news, forums and social platforms, triaged by a person rather than a raw feed. You get what matters, with a recommended action, not a wall of mentions.

Brand alerts · Review inbox · Sentiment review · Weekly digest · Escalation rules

06

Crisis escalation

An agreed route for the days when something goes wrong. Named contacts, a holding statement drafted in advance, an approval chain, and a decision on who speaks. Sustained work hands off to crisis communications.

Holding statements · Escalation ladder · Spokesperson prep · Standby page · Debrief

Process

How an engagement runs

  1. Baseline audit

We record what is visible today: review volume and ratings by surface, the first two pages for your brand name, every profile we can find, and where the published information is wrong.

  2. Fix the underlying issue

Reputation problems usually have a cause. Slow replies, a broken booking step, a policy nobody explains. We name the causes we can see and agree which ones you will fix.

  3. Correct and publish

We work the corrections list through with each source, update the profiles you own, and publish pages that answer what people are actually asking about your organisation.

  4. Run the review programme

Requests go out on an agreed trigger and cadence. Responses are drafted, approved and published on a schedule your own team can sustain after we hand it over.

  5. Monitor, report, escalate

A weekly demo of what moved, a written monthly summary, and a standing escalation route so a bad day reaches the people who already agreed what to do about it.

How we work

How we run reputation work

01

One accountable team

Design, engineering, AI and marketing sit in the same studio. The person writing your review responses can talk to the person fixing the broken booking step behind them.

02

You own everything

Accounts, profiles, content, response templates, the corrections log and the monitoring setup are in your name from day one. If we stop working together, nothing needs rebuilding.

03

Nothing suppressed, nothing faked

We do not write reviews, incentivise them, gate negative feedback or take on removal work. Where a review breaks a platform's own rules, we flag it through that platform's process.

04

Weekly demos

Every week you see the actual work: corrections filed, responses published, what moved on your brand search page. No status decks describing work you cannot inspect.

05

Replies within one business day

Every message gets an answer from a person within one business day. During a live incident we agree the contacts and the route in advance, so nobody is hunting for a phone number.

06

Accessible and bilingual

Anything we publish meets WCAG 2.2 AA. Monitoring, responses and statements run in English and French where your audience or your regulator requires both.

Who it's for

Brand and reputation management for organisations that get searched by name.

A buyer, a member, a regulator and a candidate all read the same public record. It has to hold up.

Multi-location businesses and franchises

Ratings vary by location and head office cannot see why. We standardise the response practice, keep every profile accurate, and show which locations need attention this month.

Professional and regulated services

Clinics, firms and advisors where one visible complaint carries weight. Careful, compliant responses that say something useful without disclosing anything they should not.

Government bodies and associations

Public scrutiny, records that must stay accurate, and a duty to correct wrong information about services. Bilingual and accessible by requirement rather than by preference.

Employers with a hiring problem

Strong offers, weak candidate flow. Worth checking what applicants read on employer review sites, and what your careers pages leave unanswered before anyone decides to apply.

FAQ

Questions buyers ask first

No, and be wary of anyone who says yes. We only ask a platform to remove a review when it breaks that platform's own published rules, and we do it through the platform's normal reporting process. The realistic path is different: respond well in public, fix what caused the complaint, and keep asking every customer so recent genuine reviews keep arriving. We control the asking, the responding and the fix. We do not control the rating.

Everything. Accounts, profile logins, the corrections log, response templates, monitoring configuration, drafted statements and any pages we publish are yours and stay in your name throughout. We are added as users to your accounts, never the other way round. If the engagement ends you carry on with no rebuild, no export request and no licence to renew.

We agree the measures before the work starts, and they live in your own accounts rather than a dashboard only we can see. Typical ones: rating and review volume by surface and by location, response rate and time to respond, what ranks on the first page for your brand name, wrong records corrected and still correct on re-check, and enquiry volume from branded search.

No to both. Writing or buying reviews breaks the published terms of the major review platforms and, in Canada and the United States, the rules against misleading representations. It also puts the profile itself at risk. We do not gate requests so that only happy customers are asked, either. Everyone who had the experience is asked, on the same trigger, in the same words.

That depends on whether the route was set up beforehand. With an escalation plan in place there are named contacts, a drafted holding statement, an approval chain and a decision already made about who speaks, so the first response is edited rather than invented. Without one, the first day goes on deciding those things. Sustained incident work moves to crisis communications, which is a separate discipline.

Every engagement is quoted. Reputation work scales with the number of locations, the number of surfaces, the languages involved, review volume, and how much of the response practice you want to run yourselves. We scope it after the baseline audit so the quote describes real work rather than a guess, and we say plainly which parts your team can take over.

They overlap, and we keep the boundary explicit. SEO works on what people search before they know you exist. Reputation work starts once they know your name: the stars beside your listing, the first page for your brand, the old address on a directory, the employer review a candidate reads. Map-pack ranking and day-to-day profile mechanics belong to Local SEO and Google Business Profile.
