Singapore, in short

Yes.Singapore businesses are a regular part of our work, handled remotely from the OlDevs studio in Vancouver on Pacific time, with travel to the region when a discovery workshop or a launch benefits from being in person. Singapore is 15 hours ahead of Vancouver, so your early morning is our late afternoon of the day before, and that narrow band is where the calls go. We cover full-stack development, web apps, Android and iOS apps, web development, AI development and performance marketing.

Built for Singapore

What Singapore projects need us to get right.

The local rules and realities we design for from the first call.

01

PDPA and the data you collect

The Personal Data Protection Act is enforced by the PDPC, so consent language, retention and the reason for each field deserve real attention. We list every piece of personal data a product touches and where it flows, then your advisers make the calls on obligations.

PDPA · Consent · Retention

02

Accessibility built to WCAG 2.2 AA

There is no general private-sector web-accessibility statute here, though government services follow their own digital service standards and WCAG 2.2 AA is the working benchmark. We hold every build to AA so accessibility is never a late surprise in a review.

03

Writing for a multilingual audience

English carries most business communication, while Mandarin, Malay and Tamil are also official. We keep interface copy short and direct so it reads well for people using English as a second or third language, and we structure content for extra languages when you need them.

04

Hosting close to your users

Every large cloud provider runs a Singapore region, which keeps latency low for local and regional users and lets production data stay in country. We agree region, backup location and third party processors during discovery and record the result in your handover pack.

Sectors

Who we work with in Singapore.

Financial services

Banks, insurers and fintech teams need interfaces that stay calm under scrutiny. We build client portals and internal tools with careful access control, audit trails and documentation that survives a review cycle.

Technology and regional head offices

Regional headquarters often carry products built elsewhere and need them adapted for Asia Pacific. We extend existing codebases, rebuild tired front ends and add the analytics that shows what the region actually does.

Logistics and port

Freight forwarders and port related operators need visibility tools more than brochures. We build tracking dashboards, partner portals and mobile capture that fit shift work and connect to systems already in place.

Biomedical sciences

Research groups and life science companies need careful handling of sensitive information and clear presentation of complex material. We design data tools, portals and public sites that respect both accuracy and readability.

Process

Working with OlDevs from Singapore.

  1. Discover

Kick-off calls sit in your early morning, our late afternoon of the day before. We agree users, scope and measures, then send a written brief the same day so your side can review it in normal hours.

  2. Design

Flows and screens arrive as a clickable prototype rather than static images. You review while Vancouver is asleep, we respond at the start of our day, and each round tightens the detail.

  3. Build

Development runs in short cycles with a demo link every week. Because we build while Singapore sleeps, there is usually something new to try when your team logs in.

  4. Launch

We rehearse on staging, choose a cutover that falls outside your business hours, watch the first day closely from Vancouver and keep a rollback path ready throughout.

  5. Grow

After go live we read the analytics with you, fix what the numbers expose, and plan the next releases. Search, paid and lifecycle work follow only where they suit your market.

FAQ

Singapore — questions we hear first.

No. OlDevs operates from one studio in Vancouver, British Columbia, and we do not have staff or an address in Singapore. Clients here work with us remotely, with video calls set in Singapore Time, and we travel to the city when a workshop or a launch is worth doing in person.

It works because we plan around it. Live calls land in your early morning, which is our late afternoon the day before, and everything else moves in writing: daily notes, a shared board and short recorded demos. Work we do overnight for you is ready to review first thing, which keeps the pace steady.

Yes. All the major cloud providers run a Singapore region, so production data and backups can stay in country and local users get low latency. We settle the region before the build starts and document each store, backup and third party service in your handover pack.

We keep collection to what the product genuinely needs, write consent and retention behaviour into the specification, and produce a map of every field and processor involved. Your legal advisers use that to confirm your position under the Act, since we do not give legal advice.

Every build is held to WCAG 2.2 AA. Government services follow their own digital service standards and AA is the working benchmark, even though there is no general private-sector statute. That means keyboard paths, contrast, focus states and screen reader labels tested through the build.
