London, in short

We do. OlDevs takes on London projects from our Vancouver studio, working remotely with travel to the UK when a phase of work benefits from it.London is eight hours ahead of Vancouver, so the live window is short and specific: your late afternoon, roughly four to six, is our early morning. We book calls there and run the rest asynchronously. The work covers web apps, Android and iOS apps, web development, full-stack engineering, AI development and performance marketing.

Greenwich Mean Time, or British Summer Time for part of the year
03Working hours overlap
About two hours, honestly. Your four to six in the afternoon is our eight to ten in the morning, so live calls sit there and everything else is asynchronous.

Built for England

What London projects need us to get right.

The local rules and realities we design for from the first call.

01

UK GDPR built into the product

UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 are enforced by the Information Commissioner's Office, so consent, lawful basis and subject access cannot be afterthoughts. We build granular consent, retention rules and export and deletion tooling into the application itself.

02

Accessibility as a working standard

Equality Act 2010 duties are the accessibility backdrop in the UK, and the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations 2018 apply to public bodies. WCAG 2.2 AA is the working standard, and it is what we design, build and test against on every London project.

03

English written for a UK reader

London audiences read English, and they notice when a site was written elsewhere. We use UK spelling, date and currency formats, address and postcode validation that accepts real UK input, and phone handling that does not trip over a plus forty four number.

UK and EU hosting choices

Where personal data lives is usually the first question procurement asks. We can host in UK regions, or in the EU where that suits your group, keep backups in the same jurisdiction, and document every transfer so your data protection lead has a clear picture.

Sectors

Who we work with in London.

Financial services and fintech

Regulated products need audit trails, careful authentication and interfaces that explain themselves. We build onboarding, dashboards and internal tools with logging and permissions treated as features, not as a late security review.

Professional and legal services

Firms want client portals, matter tracking and document handling that partners will actually adopt. We design for the way work is delegated, then automate the routine steps with AI where it saves real hours.

Technology and media

Product teams come to us for extra capacity: a web app, a native mobile client, or a full-stack service behind an existing front end. We work inside your repositories, standards and release process rather than around them.

Government and public bodies

Public sector work has to be accessible, documented and defensible. We build to WCAG 2.2 AA, keep the content model simple enough for non-specialists to maintain, and leave behind documentation your successors can follow.

Process

Working with OlDevs from London.

  1. Discover

A first call at four or five in the afternoon London time, then a written brief covering users, systems, data protection questions and the outcome you need. Nothing starts until that brief is agreed.

  2. Design

We share designs asynchronously so your team reviews them during the London day, then discuss on the afternoon call. Accessibility to WCAG 2.2 AA is checked at design stage, before code exists.

  3. Build

One team, weekly working demos on a staging link. Because we are eight hours behind, work lands during your evening and is ready to review first thing in London.

  4. Launch

Release is rehearsed and scheduled for a quiet UK hour, with performance, accessibility and consent checks completed first. Someone is on call for the agreed window, and we pick it up again as your afternoon starts.

  5. Grow

Ongoing SEO and content, paid search, paid social, lifecycle email, analytics and CRO, reported in plain English. Every platform account is registered to you and stays that way.

FAQ

London — questions we hear first.

There is no London office, and no staff in the UK. OlDevs is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, and London clients are served remotely, with meetings in your time zone. We travel to London when a workshop, discovery session or launch genuinely benefits from being in the room.

We hold live calls in your late afternoon, which is our early morning, and keep everything else asynchronous. Work done in our day lands during your evening, so reviews happen first thing in London. Urgent issues get a named contact and an agreed response window rather than a shrug.

Wherever your data protection position requires. We commonly deploy to UK regions, and EU regions where a group policy points that way. Backups and logs stay in the same jurisdiction, and we document processors and transfers so your privacy lead has something concrete to review.

Yes, that is a common arrangement. We act as extra capacity inside an existing team, working in your repositories, following your review and release process, and joining the ceremonies that matter. You still get one accountable team on our side and a working demo every week.

WCAG 2.2 AA on every project. That is the working standard behind Equality Act 2010 duties and the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations 2018 for public bodies. We test with keyboards and screen readers and can supply the evidence for an accessibility statement.

Within one business day, and usually sooner. An enquiry sent during the London afternoon often gets a reply the same evening your time, since that is our morning. The reply comes from someone who will work on the project, not from a sales desk passing you along.
