What makes automotive builds hard

The problems we are asked to solve most often — and how.

01

Inventory that changes hourly

Vehicles sell, arrive and reprice through the day. A site that caches too hard shows sold stock, and one that caches too little crawls. We build feed pipelines that update vehicle detail pages fast and fail quietly when the DMS does.

Inventory feeds · Caching · DMS integration

02

Leads that die between the form and the CRM

A lead can pass through a form, a chat widget, a marketplace and a phone tracker before it reaches a salesperson. Duplicates, missing source data and silent failures cost real deals, so we make routing traceable end to end.

Lead routing · CRM · Attribution

03

Many rooftops, one brand

Head office needs consistent templates, compliance text and pricing rules. Each store needs its own hours, staff, offers and voice. We build one platform with central control and store level editing, so neither side has to fight the other.

Multi-site · Governance · Local content

04

Service booking that respects the shop

Online booking only helps if it matches technician capacity, bay time, parts availability and advisor workload. We model the real shop rather than a generic calendar, so bookings arrive as work the service drive can actually absorb.

Service booking · Capacity · Operations

05

Local search across every store

Every rooftop competes in its own market while sharing a brand and often the same stock. Thin duplicate location pages get filtered out, so we build store pages with real differences and structured data that search engines and AI assistants can read.

Local SEO · Structured data · Duplication

06

Disclosure that varies by province

Advertised offers, finance disclosure and privacy notices differ by province and by lender. We build templates that carry the required text with the offer rather than bolting it on later, and we treat customer data under PIPEDA and Quebec Law 25 as a design constraint. This is engineering practice, not legal advice.

Disclosure · Privacy · Provincial rules

Process

How an automotive project runs

  1. Discovery

We map rooftops, systems, feeds and the sales and service processes behind them, then agree what success looks like before any design work starts.

  2. Architecture and design

Inventory model, template system, permission rules and booking logic are designed together, with accessible interface patterns proven on the slowest devices your customers use.

  3. Build in weekly demos

One accountable team ships a working demo every week. You see inventory, booking and lead flow behaving on real data rather than reading status reports.

  4. Launch rooftop by rooftop

We go live with a pilot store, watch traffic, leads and bookings closely, fix what the real world exposes, then roll the same system out across the group.

  5. Measure and extend

Analytics tie sessions to leads, appointments and outcomes. From there we prioritise the next round of work, whether that is merchandising, marketing or automation.

How we work

How we work with automotive clients

01

We start on the drive, not in the design file

Before wireframes we talk to sales managers, service advisors and the people who actually key the deals. The friction they describe is what the build has to remove.

02

Feeds before features

Inventory, pricing and availability data get sorted first. Once vehicles flow reliably into one model, the vehicle detail page, search, merchandising and ad feeds all follow cheaply.

03

One template system, many rooftops

Shared components, brand rules and compliance blocks live centrally. Stores get controlled editing for hours, staff, offers and local copy so pages stay distinct without drifting off brand.

04

Booking built around capacity

We map services to real durations, skills and bays, then expose only what the shop can take. Reminders, rescheduling and status updates reduce no shows and phone traffic.

05

Lead plumbing you can audit

Every enquiry is logged with source, store and vehicle, delivered to the CRM, retried on failure and alerted on silence. When a source stops producing, you find out the same day.

06

Marketing that reads the same data

Local campaigns, feeds and landing pages are driven by live inventory and store information, so paid and organic work stop advertising cars that sold last week.

FAQ

Automotive — questions we hear first.

In most cases yes. We build against whatever feed your DMS or inventory provider exposes, whether that is a scheduled file, an API or a middleware layer. Where the feed is thin we normalise it into our own inventory model, so vehicle detail pages, search and marketing all read from one source of truth.

Not always. Some groups keep their existing platform and ask us to build the parts it handles badly, such as booking, trade tools or a dealer network layer. Others move off it entirely. We look at what your current platform actually costs you in speed, control and data before recommending either path.

With one codebase and a permission model. Head office controls templates, brand rules, compliance text and shared components. Store managers edit hours, staff, offers and local content within those limits. New rooftops launch from the same system, so adding a store is a configuration job rather than a new website project.

Yes, if the booking engine knows the shop. We model bay time, technician skills, service durations and advisor load, then only offer slots the drive can absorb. Customers see accurate availability, and service managers get bookings that fit the day instead of a queue they unpick every morning.

Through a routing layer you can audit. Every enquiry, whether it comes from a vehicle detail page, a chat widget, a marketplace or a phone call, is captured with its source, store and vehicle, then delivered to the CRM with retries and alerts when a handoff fails. Nothing disappears quietly.

Yes. We build bilingual EN/FR sites and applications, including French vehicle descriptions, booking flows and disclosure text. Translation sits inside the content model rather than in a plugin bolted on afterwards, so both languages stay in step when templates, offers or inventory rules change.

Tell us the group, the rooftops involved and the systems already in place. We reply to every enquiry within one business day, run a short discovery call in your time zone, then come back with scope, sequence and a plan for the first working demo. Request a quote and we will take it from there.
